We were really pleased with the service that JB Architecture provided. Sean was professional, friendly and knowledgeable and suggested ways to use our space, which we may not have though about. They responded to queries from the planners and provided support throughout the project. The building work has made a big difference to our house and we are grateful for the role that JB Architecture played.

We cannot recommend JB Architecture enough - this was our second extension designed and supported by them (previously we added a second storey to our bungalow, adding a bathroom and bedroom, and this time round it was a single storey extension to our kitchen) and we are thrilled with the end result of both. They took us through every stage of the build, ensuring our needs were met both functionally, aesthetically and also complying to building regulations. Their design was also considerate in that was easy for our builders to follow, meaning it didn’t end up causing us extra unnecessary cost without having to compromise on the functionality and look that we wanted to achieve. They are both very personable, reassuring and made us feel at ease with what we were concerned could be an intimidating process. They took the stress out of a building project and we’d definitely use them again if we needed anything in the future.

Although our build is yet to be started, we have been nothing but impressed with Sean's support through the design, planning application support, building regulation drawings and support with going to tender with contractors. Sean has been approachable and flexible and has understood our needs from the outset with our single storey extension plans. We felt in very safe hands from the first meeting and knew Sean understood exactly what we wanted from our house with our young family. Nothing has been too much trouble; no question too silly and we have felt fully supported since the beginning. We will continue to use and consult with Sean throughout the build process and would highly recommend JB Architecture.

Highly recommend JB Architecture who looked after our design project of a single storey extension plus enlarged dormer. We started the project in 2017 but had to abort, restarted it in 2021 and we are pleased with the outcome. Throughout Jimmy and Sean were extremely helpful with their design ideas to maximise space whilst being mindful of budget and keeping the design in the cottage style. Their patience with the various different iterations of the design was helpful so we never felt like we were being rushed into a decision. Being able to view the CAD design in 3D helped us enormously. Not only did they design the extension but also helped us with issues concerning the public services we had to overcome and the necessary building regs. All in all we would use them again if we ever found ourselves in need of an architect.

JB Architecture was recommended to us by our builder and we are very pleased we followed that advice. Our aim was to extend the kitchen/dining area, build a utility room, extend the upstairs to increase the bedroom and bathroom, and to alter the main entrance to provide a larger entrance/hallway. So a big job. From the start of the process, Sean provided excellent advice and was very helpful, professional. He communicated clearly what would happen and when, and then kept us updated on progress in a timely fashion throughout the development period and planning approval process. Both the proposal and plans prepared met our needs and Sean was very happy to tweak the design to accommodate any slight changes we wanted. Planning permission was received despite a slight delay in review due to COVID and building works commenced shortly after. The result is that the plans have now been successfully translated into our modified house and we love it. Thank you Sean and everyone at JB Architecture for all your help in making this happen.

We were looking for a great architect to help us with our single storey extension. As you can imagine it’s very daunting starting this kind of project for the first time but Sean put our minds at easy and was there to help us every step of the way. He came up with new ideas we wouldn’t of thought of and improved our vision massively. Would definitely recommend JB Architecture and we will be using them again in the future.
