Pets at Home Axminster

Lovely young lady served me and recommended a place where I could buy something, pets at home didn't stock, she was very helpful and even showed me the way on her phone. Unfortunately I couldn't say the same for the tall man that worked there. A man had a problem with a standing order and asked for help with cancelling it. The ladies who worked there were trying to help, unfortunately the male who was asked if he could help was very rude and sarcastic to the customer (who ended up walking out because of this)! The customer was trying to explain his problem and had stayed calm up until this point! Very unprofessional!

Accessibility issues make this store impractical for working customers Unfortunately, I have to give this store 1 star due to their recent decision to reduce opening hours, making it virtually impossible for anyone with conventional working hours to visit. This seems like a concerning sign that the store may be winding down operations. The positives: The staff are consistently friendly and helpful, the store is generally clean and well-maintained, and I've noticed genuine improvements in their aquatics department over the years. The major issue: The restricted hours mean working people can no longer access the store for even quick top-ups. This forces customers like myself rely solely on specialist retailers and online shopping instead - exactly the opposite of what a convenience-focused pet store should be encouraging (myself using this store when needing supplies quickly without the time to travel to specialist stores after work) While the reptile food selection remains at typical Pets at Home standard of quality, the real disappointment is losing a local option due to poor accessibility planning. Such a shame to see a store with helpful staff become unusable for the very customers who want to support local retail.

A fairly small but very well stocked store. The staff are always super helpful. Parking can sometimes be tight but it's never really been a problem.

Vanessa is always such a wonderful person to talk to when i go in to pets at home , no matter the question she always has the time and always is incredibly knowledgeable,patient and understanding. She helped me so much when I came in to find food to support my cats kidney issues. She is an outstanding representative of Pets at Home ❤️

Just went to have a look around. Whilst I was there, I thought I'd just ask questions about a fish tank filter. The assistant was very helpful. She gave me tips on how to maintain my filter and keep a clean, healthy tank I left with a little something for my little fishies

Great place to visit, staff are very friendly and helpful. Good stock and choices. Clean and tidy store.

Do you have everything you can imagine needed for pets. I didn't give them 5 stars because the car park space so limited.
